Mr. Hourican specializes in litigating bodily injury and property damage cases in the areas of construction, premises liability, maritime and aviation. His practice also focuses on litigating insurance coverage matters, with a particular emphasis on marine and general liability policies, and he has successfully litigated several seminal cases in the insurance field. Mr. Hourican is an accomplished trial attorney who has obtained numerous successful jury verdicts. He has also successfully argued appeals before the state appellate courts of New York and New Jersey and the federal Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuit.
Mr. Hourican is a graduate of St. John's University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Thereafter, he attended New York Law School, where he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1988. Mr. Hourican is admitted to practice in the state courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits.
